Photos: Large Lines Form at Maharajah Jungle Trek to See Bakso

Don't miss out on your rare opportunity to see a tiger cub in person.

For the first time in seven years, a baby Sumatran tiger cub has made their Animal Kingdom debut. Named Bakso, guests have been lining up outside of the Maharajah Jungle Trek trail just to get a glimpse at the adorable animal.

What’s Happening:

  • Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World has a brand new resident at the Maharajah Jungle Trek trail.
  • Bakso, born in October, is the first Sumatran tiger cub born at the park in over 7 years.
  • Over the past few months, Disney Parks Blog has been documenting the adorable tiger’s journey towards his public debut at the park through their Tiger TV Tuesdays series.
  • Bakso finally made his first appearance at the Animal Kingdom attraction last week, prompting major excitement from fans wanting to catch a glimpse of the adorable tiger cub.
  • Due to the incredibly long lines, what normally serves as the entrance for the attraction has been converted into an exit.

  • The line for the exhibit extended throughout the area, with cast members stating the wait to check out Bakso was around 45-60 minutes.

  • Joined by his mom Sohni, Bakso has been exploring the highly themed habitat. However, we were unable to get a chance to check the pair out as Bakso and his mom took a break for the rest of the day.

  • Your best bet to check out Bakso and Sohni is to visit the trail between rope drop and around 11:15AM daily.
  • Don’t miss out on the rare opportunity to see a Sumatran tiger cub. If you are looking to take a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth, we recommend Mouse Fan Travel for your Walt Disney World vacation needs.
