Thanks to the efforts of Clean the World discarded Walt Disney World hotel soaps and shampoos are being used in the effort to contain the recent outbreak of cholera in Haiti. The mission of Clean the World (established 2009) is simple — help reduce infant mortality while also reducing environmental waste through a program that safely recycles discarded soaps and shampoos from hotels for redistribution. Walt Disney World resorts are among the numerous US and Canadian hotels that participate in the recycling program.
