A new bird show entitled “Winged Encounters — The Kingdom Takes Flight” will premiere this summer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The show will take place on Discovery Island and will feature the birds in flight, as well as close-up encounters and conservation stories. There will be six types of Macaw’s featured; hyacinth, green-winged, blue and gold, scarlet, blue-throated and military.
The show is being produced by the third party that puts on the park’s Flights of Wonder show which is working with Disney Creative Entertainment.
An opening date for the show has not been announced.
