Walt Disney World Bus Driver’s Jeopardy Streak Comes to an End

Move over, Ellen — there’s a new Walt Disney World Jeopardy champion in town… or at least there was until Wednesday night. After four games and $54,999 in winnings, Chris Becker, a WDW bus driver who lives in Winter Garden, lost the champion title he held for three days.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Becker started working for the Mouse in 2012. While in California shooting the show, he even visited Disneyland which has said he hasn’t done in 20 years. Becker also took the appearance as an opportunity to plug his employer once host Alex Trebek brought up the topic first. Disney says it had no involvement in his promotion of their company.

As for his Jeopardy skills, he told the Sentinel:

“I just have a brain that holds on to useless fact. I’ve been reading since I was 3 years old. I just read a lot when I was a kid. I still read a lot. As far as being on Jeopardy! there’s advice for anyone who wants to be on the show: Read a lot. One thing that really helps is I do a lot of crossword puzzles.”

Becker says he hopes to use the extra cash to do some travelling.
