It looks like Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park in Walt Disney World could be gearing up for a 2+ acre expansion. According to Orlando Business Journal the new section will also include a new ride to be built in the northern part of the park.
Plans for the expansion call for “construction of new guest areas, including a water feature. Sidewalks and landscaped areas will be provided for guest access,” as well as “a new family raft ride that is to be located west of the Crush N Gusher ride.”
At this time there is no further information regarding a possible timeline for the project.
