Florence Henderson Passes Away at 82

Yesterday brought news that beloved actress Florence Henderson had passed away. She was 82.

Although she is undoubtably best known as Carol Brady on the classic sitcom The Brady Bunch, Henderson also racked up a number of Disney-related credits during her long and fruitful career. Most recently she had guest roles on Disney Channel’s K.C. Undercover and Disney Junior’s Sophia the First. She also made an appearance on the short lived ABC show Trophy Wife in addition to many other programs in the Disney family.

In 2010, Henderson was a contestant on ABC’s mega hit Dancing with the Stars during the show’s 11th cycle. She and dancing partner Corky Ballas were the fifth couple voted off the show that year, with Jennifer Grey ultimately winning the mirror ball trophy. Incidentally, her last television appearance was also Dancing with the Stars — the actress attended more than one taping of the show in support of her TV daughter Maureen McCormick who competed this season.
