Invictus Games Toronto 2017 to be Broadcast on ESPN3

ESPN3’s seven-day coverage of the Invictus Games 2017 Toronto kicks off today, Monday, Sept. 25, at 8:30 p.m. ET and continues through Saturday, Sept. 30. Being held this year in Toronto, the Invictus Games feature 12 adaptive-style sports bringing together more than 550 military competitors who are wounded, ill and injured from 17 countries around the world. The multi-national event was started by Prince Harry in 2014 as a platform to use the power of sports to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded servicemen and women.

ESPN.com will also have extensive coverage of the Invictus Games Toronto 2017 including event highlights, features on the competitors and the sports they compete in. Competitor spotlights on ESPN.com will showcase U.S. Marine Stefan Leroy, purple heart recipient Ivan Sears and U.S. captain pilot Christy Wise. In addition, ESPN.com recently showcased photos taken by Ioana Mondolvan who followed the Invictus team representing Romania as they trained in and around Bucharest. ESPN3 will cover an estimated 15 hours of live medal competition, plus the Closing Ceremony.
