The El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood will showcase Star Wars: The Last Jedi from December 14, 2017 through January 28, 2018. New details of the run have now been revealed
El Capitan Theatre General Manager Ed Collins said, “The El Capitan Theatre is the best place to enjoy this exciting new adventure, ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ because the audience can have so many experiences here and nowhere else. Before the movie, El Capitan Theatre guests will be treated to an all-new Laser Light Show and can explore our exclusive display of costumes and props from the movie.”
Collins continued, “And – only at The El Capitan Theatre, guests can take their photo at the Stormtrooper meet-and-greet on opening weekend (December 14-17), and on other dates (December 22-24, 29-31; January 5-7, 12-14, 19-21, and 26-28). We are screening the film in outstanding Dolby Vision laser projection along with Dolby Atmos audio technology. And finally we can make it easy to enjoy a meal at Hard Rock Café across Hollywood Blvd. for one convenient price.”
The El Capitan Theatre also hosts a sold out Star Wars Marathon Event starting Wednesday, December 13, with doors opening at 8:30pm with “The Phantom Menace” screening at 9:30pm. The El Capitan Theatre is one of only four theatres hosting a Marathon Event in the United States.
Following the Marathon Event, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will screen on December 14 around the clock at 10:00pm, 1:35am, and 5:45am. Beginning Friday morning, December 15 through January 28, 2018 daily showtimes are 9:30am, 1:05pm, 4:40pm , 8:15pm and 11:50pm.

The Hard Rock Cafe Movie & Meal Package is available for $40.00 per person. Each ticket package includes: reserved seat (no concessions) to see the movie at The El Capitan Theatre, and a meal from Hard Rock Café. Reservations are required in advance (tickets must be booked no later than 24 hrs business days). This offering is available for all showtimes December 15, 2017 – January 28, 2018. Guests will choose one entrée from special Hard Rock Cafe menu at the time of their seating. Tax & gratuity included. Does not include alcohol – guests can purchase and pay on their own.
The El Capitan Theatre will also host a very special Tiny Tot Tuesday for the first show every Tuesday during the run of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. During these special screenings, parents and small children may enjoy the movie in a tot-friendly way—with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels.
