Woman Arrested for Trying to Sell Stroller Stolen from Magic Kingdom

Earlier this year, we reported on a story about a mother who was charged with grand theft after swiping an $1,800 stroller from Walt Disney World with the help of her child. Now, as  the Orlando Sentinel reports, that woman might not be the only one to hatch such a scheme. This week Amanda Poynor of Winter Springs was arrested and charged with a felony for allegedly dealing in stolen property. This came after Dave Diaz contacted the Orange County Sherrif’s Department to notify them that his stroller and other personal items were stolen while he and his family were at Magic Kingdom on Saturday. Later, a listing for the stroller was found on Facebook Marketplace, with the seller named as “Amanda Freedom.” Undercover investigators arranged to meet with “Freedom,” who was asking $650 for the stroller along with a car seat. Once it was discovered that the serial number on the stroller matched Diaz’s, Poyner was arrested.
