If you’re anything like me, your number one wish since Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened several months ago has been to have an official release of the music DJ R3X plays in Oga’s Cantina. Well, today brought us one step closer, as Disney has posted a half-dozen of the original songs created for the expansive new land on its official Disney Music VEVO YouTube channel.
“Bai Tee Tee,” “Mus Kat & Nalpak,” “Gaya – Oola Shuka,” “Modal Notes,” “Mad About Mad About Me,” and “Batuu Boogie” are the six tracks now available for your authorized listening pleasure on the officially-sanctioned YouTube page, with the implication being more are on the way, as the thumbnail images indicate this is Rex’s Oga’s Cantina Playlist #1.

From the video descriptions, it seems as though these songs have been uploaded as part of this weekend’s D23 Expo celebrations. Let’s hope as the days go one, we get more of the tracks as the days go on, and maybe even eventually a physical release of DJ R3X’s entire repertoire, either on CD or vinyl. Heck, I’ll even take a purchasable digital download, so long as I can have a way to enjoy this music in my own home or car when I’m not visiting Batuu!
