“The Mandalorian” Disney+ Star Wars Series Gets New Trailer, Character Posters Weeks Ahead of Release

We’re just about two weeks away from the debut of the highly anticipated new streaming service Disney+ and its flagship launch live-action series The Mandalorian, which is set five years after Return of the Jedi in the Star Wars universe and centers around a mysterious bounty hunter played by actor Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones).

Much like it did last week with the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, tonight Lucasfilm– under its current parent company Disney– premiered an exciting new trailer for The Mandalorian, and we couldn’t be more excited to check out the show on November 12.

This morning, the official Twitter feed for The Mandalorian also revealed five new character posters for the series, including the one featuring Pedro Pascal as the masked title character in the image above. The remaining four showcase Gina Carano (Deadpool) as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers (Toy Story 4) as Greef Carga, Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) as the voice of assassin droid IG-11, and the Ugnaught character named Kuiil.

The Mandalorian also stars Giancarlo Esposito (The Jungle Book) as Moff Gideon, plus Ming-Na Wen (Mulan), comedian Bill Burr (Breaking Bad), and filmmaker Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man) in thus-far unnamed roles. The series was created and written by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), with episodes directed by Dave Filoni (Star Wars Rebels), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Deborah Chow (Better Call Saul), Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit), and actress Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World). Another poster for the series, featuring the Mandalorian walking alongside his ship the Razor Crest, was revealed over the summer.

The first episode of The Mandalorian will premiere Tuesday, November 12 with the launch of Disney+, and the remaining seven episodes will debut each following Friday.
