According to Variety, Disney+ Hotstar may roll out in Thailand at the end of next month.

What’s Happening:

  • Variety has reported that Disney+ Hotstar is expecting to come to Thailand at the end of next month, June 30, making it the fourth territory in the Southeast Asia region to receive the service.
  • Sources have told Variety that the launch will be in partnership with AIS, the country’s leading mobile telecoms and internet service provider.
  • Disney+ Hotstar branding was first seen in India with the launch in April 2020.
  • Disney had received Hotstar with the Fox merger and has since used it in other regions instead of the Hulu branding seen in North America, giving customers access to shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Family Guy, black-ish, and more.
