“Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog-Eating Contest” Airing Live on ESPN July 4

ESPN has announced the return of Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog-Eating Contest, airing live on Sunday, July 4 at noon.

What’s Happening:

  • Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog-Eating Contest will be airing for its 18th consecutive year on ESPN on Sunday, July 4 at noon, with coverage of the women’s championship starting at 11:30 am ET on ESPN3.
  • Mike Golic Jr. will do play-by-play of the competition with in-depth analysis by Major League Eating’s Richard Shea, and reporting by ESPN’s Jason Fitz.
  • Seven-Time Women’s Champion Miki Sudo will join Golic and Shea for the women’s competition.
  • The contest will take place at Maimonides Park on Coney Island with George Shea, MLE chairman, hosting the competition which has been held in Coney Island, NY for decades.
  • Those who can’t catch it live will be able to see a replay on ESPN2 at 4:00 pm ET and on ESPNews at 6:00 pm ET. Replays will also be shown the next day, July 5, on ESPNews at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm ET.
  • Fans can get ready for the competition by catching the ESPN 30 for 30 “The Good, The Bad, The Hungry” showcasing the rivalry between competitive eaters Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi on Thursday, July 1 at 7:30 pm ET on ESPN.
