What’s Happening:

  • Variety has reported that Free Guy has had a good opening weekend in the box office despite the surge of the COVID-19 delta variant bringing in around $28.4 million domestically.
  • The film made around $22.5 million overseas, bringing it around $51 million globally.
  • Free Guy is exclusively in theaters, so we’ll have to see how it does moving forward, as it’ll have to wait the 45 day window before it appears on streaming services without having services like Disney+ Premier Access to go to for at-home revenue.
