More and more of the World’s Most Magical Celebration is coming into place, and the landmark clock on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street USA is now sporting a new EARidescent color scheme as the minutes draw closer to October 1st, the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.
What’s Happening:
- The landmark clock on Main Street USA at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has been given the World’s Most Magical Celebration treatment, giving it a nice golden EARidescent look.
- Underneath the actual timepiece, beautifully restored for the 50th anniversary festivities, are two banners with the soon to be iconic “50” that remind Main Street USA pedestrians that Citizen is the official timekeeper of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. At the top of the clock, you can also find another “50” adornment.
- This makeover that has come to the clock on Main Street USA replaces a green color that complemented the overall look of the area, complete with a gold trim.
- The gold accents remain and the new EARidescent color now adorns the entire post.
- Back in 2018, Citizen and The Walt Disney Company announced a partnership that named Citizen the official timepiece of Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Marvel New Media’s Creative Space and more. The Citizen logo was prominently displayed on the Main Street USA clock in the Magic Kingdom, as well as on return time clocks for what was then known as “FastPass.”
- Elsewhere on Main Street USA, some of the Fab 50 Character Collection Statues have arrived, including Chip and Dale, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, and more. As part of the World’s Most Magical Celebration, these statues representing 50 different characters will be found at the four theme parks of Walt Disney World.
