At long last The Orville will continue its galactic journey on Hulu. Debuting with a new name—The Orville: New Horizons—the series’ third season sets off in March 2022.
What’s Happening:
- In 2019, Hulu announced that Seth MacFarlane’s fan-favorite sci-fi series The Orville would be moving to the streamer for its third season.
- Following two filming delays due to COVID-19 shutdowns, the series, now named The Orville: New Horizons, is finally ready for its streaming debut…in 2022.
- Today, Hulu shared a date announcement teaser for the upcoming season. Fans can catch the premiere on Thursday, March 10, 2022 with all new episodes dropping weekly on Hulu.

- “Set 400 years in the future, The Orville: New Horizons finds the crew of the U.S.S. Orville continuing their mission of exploration, as they navigate both the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of their own interpersonal relationships.”
