Marvel Launches Official "Avengers: Doomsday" Podcast Hosted by Frank Alvarez and Iman Vellani

The countdown to Avengers: Doomsday is officially underway, and Marvel Studios is giving fans a new way to revisit the Marvel Cinematic Universe before the next massive chapter arrives in theaters. A new official podcast will take audiences back through some of the MCU’s biggest moments while setting the stage for the highly anticipated Avengers showdown.

What’s Happening:

• The Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast will be hosted by Frank Alvarez and Iman Vellani, who fans know as Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel. The five-episode series will revisit key films from throughout the MCU, looking back at major story moments, fan-favorite scenes and the cultural impact each movie has had since its release.

• With Avengers: Doomsday arriving in theaters on December 18, the podcast offers fans an opportunity to refresh their memories on the stories and characters that helped shape the MCU ahead of the next Avengers adventure. Rather than simply recapping the films, Alvarez and Vellani will also explore their lasting legacy and discuss why each installment continues to resonate with audiences.
• The first episode will debut August 27, with a new episode arriving each week. Across the five-episode run, the hosts will work their way through some of the MCU’s most important cinematic milestones, ultimately arriving at one of the franchise’s biggest films: Avengers: Endgame.
• The fifth and final episode will focus on Avengers: Endgame and is timed to coincide with the film’s return to theaters on September 25 for the special Avengers: Endgame Encore theatrical release. That gives fans another opportunity to experience the landmark conclusion to the Infinity Saga on the big screen while revisiting the events that changed the MCU forever.
• Vellani is a particularly fitting choice to help guide audiences through the MCU. As the star of Ms. Marvel and a member of the next generation of Marvel heroes, she brings her own perspective as both a performer within the franchise and a longtime fan of the stories that came before Kamala Khan's introduction.
• The podcast will also provide fans with another way to engage with the MCU between major releases.
