EPCOT's Miniature Railroad Gets a Bit of Character as Refurb Work Continues
Spot the EPCOT character, too!
More construction walls have gone up at EPCOT, but don't worry - these only stand a few inches high.
What's Happening:
- Walt Disney World has shared a number of new images showcasing huge developments in a tiny corner of EPCOT.
- Those who frequent the park know for the better part of the park's history (since 1995 to be precise), the miniature train display in World Showcase's Germany pavilion has been a fan-favorite.
- Well, now the display is getting a bit of character after all these years, as the area undergoes some refurbishment work. Guests can now see some fun featuring characters and structures from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Including the huntsman, and even the old hag approaching the Dwarfs' cottage.
- Elsewhere, eagle-eyed guests may spot the Dreamfinder. We sure hope this isn't what the big hubbub was about at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
- It's also fun to see the miniature construction walls that have been installed as the work continues.
- Fans of the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure, playable via the Play Disney Parks app, may see this work and fear the days of the interactive experience are numbered. Not only is the Play Disney Parks app shutting down next month, the miniature railroad setting was a key part of the Germany pavilion portion of the experience with the work also likely removing those animated features - which would often confuse guests who weren't playing the game.
