ESPN Announces Streaming Price Increases Ahead of Fall Sports Season

With the busy fall sports season almost upon us, ESPN has announced price increases for its streaming services.

What's Happening:

• Variety reports that the price of monthly and annual packages for both ESPN Unlimited and the scaled-down ESPN Select tier will be going up as of September 17.
• Specifically, ESPN Unlimited will be going up $2 from $29.99 to $31.99/month, while the annual plan is rising from $299.99 to $319.99/year.
• In addition to everything on the ESPN and ESPN2 linear networks, the stand-alone sports package includes ESPNU, ESPNews, ESPN Deportes, SECN, SECN+, ACCN, and ACCNX plus thousands of additional live sporting events per year.
• The paired-down ESPN Select option is getting a $1 price hike, from $12.99 to $13.99/month, with the annual plan is increasing from $129.99 to $139.99/year.
• ESPN Select provides some 32,000 live events annually but does not include access to the ESPN linear networks.
• This marks the first price change for ESPN Unlimited since it launched last year, while the Select tier has already seen a $1 price increased up from its launch at $11.99.
