Oh by golly, we’re having a holly jolly Christmas / Kwanzaa / Hanukkah / Diwali / etc. at Disneyland Resort this year, and what better way to celebrate than to explore some of the holiday season offerings around both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks?

As the marketing goes, “The Holidays Begin Here” at Disneyland Resort, and one of the newest features of the popular tourist destination’s festivities this time around is “Mickey’s Happy Holidays,” a joyous traveling dance troupe made up of favorite Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Clarabelle Cow, and plenty more as they make their way down the DCA parade route stopping along the way to get down to a catchy new holiday tune.

In the above video, I had the terrific chance to chat with Disneyland Resort Ambassador Justin Rapp, as he explained how “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” works before we stepped back to enjoy the show! And below, I got a taste of some additional entertainment and food options available at Disney California Adventure during this year’s colorful Festival of Holidays multicultural celebration.

The a cappella group The Sound entertains guests in the park during Festival of Holidays alongside other diverse groups such as Mariachi Divas, Mostly Kosher, Blue13 Dance Company, Phat Cat Swinger, The Suffragettes, and Disneyland Resort’s classic Holiday Toy Drummers, who “march to their own beat while drumming up smiles wherever they go.” Next I traveled across the esplanade to the original Disneyland theme park to check out some of the holiday merchandise available around both parks.
