The El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, CA is building up the excitement for the upcoming Oscars ceremony on April 25th with their own special virtual trivia night on Thursday, April 22nd!
What’s Happening:
- The legendary El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, CA is partnering with their friends at Disney Insiders for a night of virtual trivia celebrating Academy Award nominated films, past and present!
- Players will be able to put on their red carpet best and join the fun online next Thursday at 6:30pm.
- The event will be taking place online only, and players can choose to fly solo or join with their own team at home!
- Players can gather in front of their small screens for big screen fun and trivia about Academy Award nominated movies, past and present! You bring your team, and they’ll bring the trivia… and some signature El Capitan movie magic!
- Players must register in advance to participate. Registration fee is $10 per email address and is available now for the April 22nd Trivia Night. Registration will close at 3:00pm PT on April 22nd, and the Trivia program will start at 6:30pm PT that night.
- This wonderful night of trivia is in anticipation of the Oscars coming up on Sunday, April 25th at 8:00 PM ET on ABC, and you can check out the full list of Oscar nominations this year here.
- The Historic El Capitan Theater is located on Hollywood Boulevard directly across the street from the Dolby Theater where the Oscar Ceremonies are traditionally held. The theater has quite the Oscar history attached to it as well, with Orson Welles debuting his controversial film, Citizen Kane, at theater in 1941. That film went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture and is also widely regarded as one of the, if not thee, greatest films of all time.
