Photos: Disney’s Contemporary Resort Room Renovation Construction Begins

Disney’s Contemporary Resort has begun its room renovation process, which was announced earlier this year. As a Guest walking through the main concourse, it’s now obvious that work is being done with brown scrim covering up the hallways.  

At this time, it appears that the work is being done on the Magic Kingdom side of the resort, with rooms facing Bay lake still uncovered.

The work doesn’t prevent the rest of the resort from operating as usual, with the gift shop, monorail, and food locations still in operation below.

If you’re planning to stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in the near future, expect to see more work being done. When completed, Guest rooms will look like this.
