Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is partnering with Foodlink Foundation to reduce hunger and food waste with the “Disney Meal Box Express” program.
- Hong Kong Disneyland Resort has announced the “Disney Meal Box Express” program to help reduce hunger and food waste.
- The resort will partner with the Foodlink Foundation on the program, estimated to provide 6,000 healthy and fresh-cooked meals across four Hong Kong districts from June to August.
What They’re Saying:
- Michael Moriarty, managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort: “HKDL has always been dedicated to giving back to the local community wherever possible. We learned from Foodlink, our long-standing community partner, that the pandemic has brought devastating changes to many families, with some even facing the challenge of feeding themselves. The meal boxes are able to provide assistance to these community families on a regular basis.”
- Aurea Yung, head of operations at Foodlink: “The outbreak of COVID-19 has called for greater support for the most vulnerable and impoverished in our community. We are glad to have stepped up collaboration with Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and our community partners in donating food to help spread some love and cheer during this difficult period.”
