Haunted Mansion Holiday Returns to Disneyland with New Gingerbread House

This year's gingerbread house has a musical theme

It's officially Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort and that means the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday. The Return of haunted mansion Holiday, in turn, means a brand new Gingerbread House design and this year.

What's Happening:

  • Haunted Mansion Holiday, the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay that runs at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, starting during Halloween Time, and going through the end of Christmas holiday season, is officially open.
  • The attraction tells a version of the Nightmare Before Christmas story with elements of the traditional Haunted Mansion given some holiday themed sizzle.
  • Haunted Mansion Holiday has been running since 2001, and while the overlay has changed significantly over the years, from year-to-year there are few significant differences.
  • The one exception is the Gingerbread House. On the table in the ballroom is a themed gingerbread house that changes from year to year.
  • This year's house, as captured by Laughing Place, is a music box design, complete with a skeletal ballerina who pops out of the top and spins around.
  • Check out the full house in action here:

  • While not everybody loves Haunted Mansion Holiday, or at least doesn't love the significant portion of the year given over to it, the gingerbread house is always a highlight, and this year is certainly no exception.
