Shanghai Disney Resort Unveils Duffy Month, Halloween and More for Fall 2026

Autumn is about to arrive in a big way at Shanghai Disney Resort, where the changing season will bring a packed lineup of character celebrations, Halloween entertainment, special food and merchandise, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the resort’s 10th anniversary.

What’s Happening:

• From Duffy and Friends setting sail on new adventures in September to an expanded Halloween celebration in October, Shanghai Disney Resort is preparing to make fall one of its most immersive seasons yet. 
• The festivities will begin with Duffy Month on September 1 and continue through Halloween beginning October 4 through November 1, with the Mid-Autumn Festival and Golden Week adding even more seasonal experiences along the way.

• Duffy Month will run from September 1 through 30, with this year’s celebration inspired by stories of friendship and Chinese animation. As part of the resort’s 10th Birthday Special Duffy Month, guests will be invited to “board” the FriendSHIP alongside Duffy and Friends for a month-long adventure.
• The celebration will feature a new collaboration with Shanghai Animation Film Studio, known for generations of beloved Chinese animated works. Familiar Chinese animation elements will be reimagined through the world of Duffy and Friends, extending across park decorations, entertainment, merchandise and dining. A new promotional animated short will also bring the characters into a heartwarming adventure inspired by stories cherished by Chinese families.
• The park will take on a distinctly Duffy-inspired look throughout the month, with peaches, gourds and goldfish incorporated into decorations, photo opportunities, banners and ribbons. The characters themselves will receive new costumes featuring auspicious motifs. Duffy will sport peach blossoms, while Gelatoni's outfit incorporates lotus flowers and goldfish. ‘Olu Mel, ShellieMay, StellaLou, CookieAnn and LinaBell will each receive their own designs featuring elements including gourds, swallows, moon embroidery, lake waves, butterflies and peach-inspired details.
• Duffy Month will also introduce Duffy Month Pajama Party Nights on September 19-20 and September 26-29. Guests will be able to join Duffy and Friends at the Pepsi E-Stage for a pajama-themed celebration, complete with new bedtime outfits, stories from the friends' adventures and even a playful pillow fight.

• The nighttime festivities will continue with Duffy and Friends’ Special Celebration, a new castle projection show featuring the Duffy Month theme song “Let’s Get Together.” The projection experience will bring the characters to life as they travel through the changing seasons before gathering under a star-filled sky. Fireworks will then light up the night to conclude the celebration.
• A new stage show, A Voyage with Duffy and Friends, will also debut at Enchanted Storybook Castle. The adventure follows Duffy and his six friends as they use their individual talents to return a mysterious crystal to its home across the water. The production will feature an original Duffy Month theme song and combine Disney storytelling with the unique personalities of the beloved characters.

• The popular Shanghai Huju Opera collaboration will return for a third consecutive year beginning September 5, with performances every Saturday and Sunday throughout Duffy Month. Young Huju performers will present a specially arranged melody celebrating Shanghai's stories and cultural heritage, creating a distinctive blend of Disney storytelling and local tradition.

• Foodies will also find plenty to enjoy during the celebration. Seasonal offerings will include peach-inspired desserts, specialty beverages, CookieAnn’s Made-With-Love Pastry take-home set and new dishes at Duffy and Friends Celebration Hall, including ‘Olu Mel’s Island Melody Coconut Shrimp Rice and StellaLou’s Seafood Ribbon Noodles. CookieAnn Bakery Café will add new treats such as Passionfruit and Pineapple New York Rolls, White Chocolate Cream Cake and Mango Pomelo and Sago Croffle.

• New merchandise will give fans plenty of ways to bring Duffy Month home. The Duffy and Friends Little Voyage Collection will feature plushes, accessories, keychains, lifestyle items, mooncakes and Chinese-style designs, including a teacup created with artisans from Jingdezhen. A separate Duffy and Friends Pajama Party Collection will offer cozy apparel and headwear inspired by the nighttime festivities.
• The Duffy experience will extend to Shanghai Disneyland Hotel as well, where guests can participate in themed activities ranging from bedtime storytelling and DIY workshops to interactive games and hotel tours.
• September will also mark a major milestone for LinaBell. From September 23-29, Shanghai Disney Resort will celebrate five years of the curious fox's presence at the resort. LinaBell made her global debut at Shanghai Disney Resort on September 29, 2021, quickly becoming a favorite thanks to her inquisitive personality and love of discovery.
• Guests during the anniversary week can celebrate with special appearances by LinaBell and her friends at the entry portal and enjoy her presence during the pre-parade.
• Once October arrives, the resort will trade its golden autumn glow for something a little more sinister as Halloween returns from October 4 through November 1. This year's celebration will bring even more “With You, It’s Magic+” experiences, giving guests additional opportunities to interact with characters and participate in the festivities.
• The Halloween entertainment lineup will begin with an additional daytime edition of Donald’s Halloween Treat Cavalcade. Disney Villains will take center stage, while guests dressed in creative Halloween looks may even be selected to join Donald and Daisy as part of the cavalcade.
• The season will also introduce Peg-Leg Pete to Shanghai Disney Resort's Halloween lineup. Mickey and Friends will embrace a steampunk-inspired aesthetic, while Duffy and Friends will transform into a whimsical bard troupe for the occasion.
• Over in Zootopia, Judy, Nick and their fellow residents will celebrate Howl-o-ween with special activities, including daily 10-minute Mark Howling sessions and Blue Howling Drinks. The land will become another destination for Halloween entertainment and interactive moments.
• The resort's popular Spook-tacular Days will also expand to 10 days this year in celebration of the 10th anniversary. Taking place October 16-18, October 23-25 and October 29-November 1, the expanded celebration will feature five Party Zones, surprise encounters in the Alice in Wonderland Maze, Donald’s Halloween Treat Party at Festival Forest and trick-or-treating opportunities throughout the resort.
• One of the biggest Halloween highlights will be Disney Villains Castle Celebration, which will bring the season's most wicked characters and festivities to the front of Enchanted Storybook Castle.
• Halloween merchandise will span four new collections inspired by Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends, Winnie the Pooh and Friends, and Zootopia. Guests can expect everything from glow-in-the-dark apparel and pumpkin-inspired designs to autumn clothing and collectible plush.
• The Halloween fun won't stop at the park gates. Disneytown will join the festivities with a Halloween Tour featuring trick-or-treating, a Halloween Market and seasonal photo opportunities.
• Autumn's holiday calendar will provide even more reasons to visit. The Mid-Autumn Festival will offer an opportunity for families to gather and celebrate together, while China's Golden Week holiday will coincide with special entertainment at the resort. From October 1-3, guests can watch a special castle projection and fireworks presentation following ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration.
• For guests looking to make a longer visit out of the season, Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel will offer accommodations and seasonal experiences. A Disney Dream Vacation – Duffy and Friends Package will include an overnight stay at Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, LinaBell-themed room decorations, breakfast and dinner, two park tickets and in-park food and beverage coupons.
• There will also be a One-Day Ticket with Free Flavored Beverage and Gift Pack, combining a dated park ticket with food and beverage offerings and a Duffy-themed giveaway.
• With Duffy Month, LinaBell's fifth anniversary, Halloween, the expanded Spook-tacular Days and the resort's ongoing 10th Birthday Celebration all arriving within the same season, autumn 2026 is shaping up to be one of the busiest and most colorful times of year at Shanghai Disney Resort.
• Whether guests are setting sail with Duffy and Friends, celebrating LinaBell, dressing up for Halloween or gathering with family during the autumn holidays, Shanghai Disney Resort will offer plenty of new ways to experience the magic throughout the season.
