It might be the middle of May and, technically still Spring, but it’s never too early to start thinking about Halloween! Today, Disney announced plans for their annual Halloween Time events. Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will feature a “spooky” takeover of attractions and holiday overlays that will delight guests of all ages.

What’s happening:

  • From September 7th – October 31st, Disneyland Resort guests will be able to enjoy Halloween Time at both parks and throughout the resort.
  • All throughout the parks, bright, bold decorations will set the tone for the season, and select attractions will be updated with Halloween themed overlays and adopt a new name during the Fall event.
  • Disneyland will feature: 
  • Disney California Adventure will feature:
    • Oogie Boogie with a swarm of bats at the Main Entrance
    • Headless Horseman statue on Buena Vista Street
    • Favorite characters in Halloween costumes
    • Radiator Springs becomes Radiator Screams
    • Cars Land Residents in “Car-stumes”
    • Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree
    • Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween
    • Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark
  • Mickey Mouse will once again host his Halloween Party at Disneyland Park. As an extra treat, Disney will offer a total of 15 parties this year, ensuring that more guests will be able to participate. If you didn’t know, this after hours, hard ticket event, is the perfect place to trick-or-treat, meet characters in costume, and enjoy fiendish fun!
    • Mickey’s Halloween Party will feature:
      • Halloween Screams firework show hosted by “Master of Scare-omonies,” Jack Skellington
      • Frightfully Fun Parade led by The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow
      • Meet and Greets with Disney’s greatest villains at Villains Square
    • Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Disney Visa Card holders can purchase tickets for Mickey’s Halloween Party on June 5th
    • Tickets will go on sale on June 12th for the general public

ICYMI–Disneyland Resort happenings:

  • Pixar Pier will open on June 23rd. Fans anxious to see the redesigned area of Disney California Adventure can purchase tickets to a VIP preview on June 22nd.
  • Reservations are now open for new character dining offerings at Paradise Pier Hotel and Grand Californian Resort and Spa.
