We already knew that “a bug’s land” at Disney California Adventure wasn’t long for this world when it was announced it would be exterminated to make way for a Marvel expansion, but now we know when it will be departing.
- In a post about Pixar Fest, the Disney Parks Blog confirmed that the last day guests can enjoy “a bug’s land” would be September 4th.
- As mentioned, the land will home to a Marvel-themed area debuting in 2020 that will feature Avengers and Spider-Man themed attractions.
- Despite the closure, it seems as though one part of “a bug’s land” will live on — although unconfirmed by Disney, concept art for the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind (set to open on Pixar Pier next year) seems to suggest that the ride is a rethemed version of Flik’s Flyers.
- The closure of “a bug’s land” will also coincide with the end of Pixar Fest, concluding on September 3rd.
