Walt Disney World is already gearing up for the holiday season and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will have all kinds of new offerings this year. The Disney Parks Blog released a video sharing a sneak peek at the new Tree of Life Awakenings created specially for this holiday season.
- Back in July, new holiday decorations and entertainment offerings were announced for Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
- Each night, the Tree of Life Awakens projection show will feature a new series of wintry tales, complete with a holiday-inspired musical score.
- This new show is still a work in progress as the Disney Parks Live Entertainment team continues to work toward the start of Walt Disney World’s holiday festivities on November 8.
More on the holiday offerings coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom:
- In Discovery Island, guests will experience a celebration of winter, with sparkling white holiday decorations, and animal-inspired luminaries line the rooftops.
- During the day, Discovery Island will feature a holiday gathering of winter animals with artisan-sculpted puppets, including reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins and more.
- In Asia, guests will celebrate Diwali, the holiday festival of lights in India, as the residents of Anandapur will decorate the theatre district with glowing flowers, lanterns and more.
- Guests will also find some new decor in the Africa section of the park.
- In DinoLand, U.S.A., guests can hear some of their favorite holiday tunes from Truck-O-Saurus and see some of their favorite characters dressed in their holiday best.
- And finally, Pandora – The World of Avatar will also see some holiday cheer as the ex-pats living and working there will decorate their home with some kitschy holiday décor at Pongu Pongu.
