What’s Happening:

  • The Walt Disney Legacy Award is one of the highest honors a Cast Member can achieve at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, and with the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World coming in October, those who have been recognized will be receiving a new nametag with shimmering details to celebrate.
  • Each recipient is nominated and selected by leaders and other Cast Members, receiving a blue nametag that allows them to be recognized on an ongoing basis.
  • In the video posted to Instagram, you can see Melly showing off the new 50th-anniversary version covered in EARidescent accents and holographic gold foil.

The Message Reads:

  • “One of our favorite time-honored traditions here at @WaltDisneyWorld is the Walt Disney Legacy Award, which recognizes Cast Members who go above and beyond to dream, create and inspire others. You can spot recipients of the award — like Melly — wearing special blue nametags across property! In honor of our 50th anniversary, our Legacy Award recipients’ nametags will also be receiving a dose of pixie dust with EARidescent accents and holographic gold foil. What a perfect way to celebrate their outstanding achievements!”
