"Dancing With The Stars" Pro Sharna Burgess Set to Return to the Ballroom for 35th Season of Hit Series
The pro marks her return after five years outside of the ballroom
A veteran Dancing With The Stars pro is set to return to the ballroom for the 35th season of the hit ABC series.
What's Happening:
- Viewers of Good Morning America who also happen to be fans of Dancing With The Stars were treated to a special bit of news this morning, as they learned a former pro will be heading back to the ballroom this season.
- Sharna Burgess is set to return to ABC's hit reality competition series, marking her return after five years away from the ballroom, having left the series back in 2021.
- Burgess first joined the show as a troupe member back in 2011, becoming a pro and partnered with celebrity contestants in 2013. On her original run, she was known as one of the stronger choreographers and teachers, with a reputation for getting non-dancers deep into the competition.
- She danced alongside Noah Galloway, Nick Carter, James Hinchcliffe, and Josh Norman, taking home a Mirrorball trophy with partner Bobby Bones back in 2018.
- Her personal life also became part of Dancing With The Stars' story, paired with actor Brian Austin Green (Beverly Hills 90210), developing a personal relationship outside of the show. The two had a son together, born in June of 2022, and got engaged back in 2023.
- Now, in Season 35, she will return to the ballroom as a pro once again, becoming the second pro we know is returning for the upcoming season alongside Witney Carson.
Season Five So Far:
- The return of Burgess is just another element of the season that we are learning ahead of the season 35 debut.
- While the full cast is set to be revealed on Good Morning America on September 2nd, we already know a few of this season's celebrity contestants:
- Additionally, we know that Witney Carson will also be paired with Guillermo, as she revealed while simultaneously revealing that she is pregnant with her third child.
- At the first ever DWTS Con earlier this month, it was also revealed that Dancing With The Stars: Juniors alum Kamri Peterson will be joining the show as the newest troupe member this season.
- Season 35 of Dancing With The Stars will arrive with a two-night premiere on Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16, on ABC and Disney+. Episodes will stream the following day on Hulu.
