Photos: Universal Studios Florida's Fast & Furious Building Is Closed And It Looks So Sad
Family isn't quite forever.
Fans at Universal Studios Florida are excited for the upcoming Hollywood Drift roller coaster, but as one new ride gets ready to open, another has said goodbye.
What's Happening:
- Fast & Furious: Supercharged closed at Universal Studios Florida on August 17.
- Laughing Place stopped by the building recently, which is already surrounded by a fence, and if you didn't know what used to be there, you'd be hard-pressed to guess there used to be a whole ride in there.
- There's something slightly depressing about the words "Family Forever" on the side of a building that is now behind a fence, and closed for good, showing that it was, in fact, not forever.

- Fast & Furious: Supercharged opened in 2018, a standalone version of the attraction that was part of the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood.
- The Hollywood version closed in March 2025 alongside the construction of the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster, the same process now taking place in Florida.
- there's been no indication of what will take the place of Supercharged, or when we might see it. Universal Orlando is already working on the unannounced replacement for the Lost Continent land at Universal Islands of Adventure as well as (probably) an expansion of Epic Universe.
More Universal Orlando News:
- Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift recently completed work on the ride's spike, an element the Hollywood version of the ride does not have.
- Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort is only days away.
- Dark Arts projections on Hogwarts Castle are returning for the first time in four years.
