Disney Weekend October 18: Movies, Experiences, and Shopping

Looking for a Disney related way to enjoy your weekend? Check out these new movies, experiences, and shopping opportunities all debuting today and tomorrow.

We could all use a little Disney in our lives, and this weekend especially is full of new releases from across the Walt Disney Company. Whether you want to stay in or head out for a day of fun, you can’t go wrong with any of these options.

Walt Disney Studios

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

The sequel to 2014’s Maleficent reunites Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning in this tale about growing up and what makes a family.

Fox Searchlight 

Jojo Rabbit

Taika Waititi directs and stars in this World War II satire about a boy whose imaginary friend is Adolf Hitler.  Does Fox Searchlight have another winner on their hands? Check out Mike’s review.



Horror fans will want to check out Hulu’s original film, Wounds —a story about a bartender who becomes entangled in quite a creepy mess when he starts looking through a lost cell phone to find the find its owner. Read Mack’s review to find out what he thinks of this movie.


Looking for Alaska

Avengers: Damage Control

Genie is the tenth character in this limited release collection.

Midnight Masquerade Series Dolls – Cinderella

Cinderella is back for another Disney Designer Collection release. This time she joins Esmeralda, Belle, Megara, and Rapunzel for a masked gala. Cinderella is a limited release of 5,600 dolls.
