Recapping Today’s One Day at Disney

As Disney released, One Day at Disney, we took a moment to celebrate 24 hours of the global reach of The Walt Disney Company. You can see our complete celebration here. But we also wanted to take a step back and appreciate what cast members and employees across the company can accomplish. Below, you will see just a bit of what happened at Disney today. And while, not every day results in headlines, over 200,000 individuals work each day across the globe to make magic for us all. So let’s take a step back and appreciate what can happen in just one day at Disney.

Marvel:

As the day began, we got our first teaser trailer for Marvel’s Black Widow.

Disney Consumer Products:

Celebrated Giving Tuesday with a variety of products that also give back to our communities.

ESPN:

They released the “Cursed and Blessed” 30 for 30 Podcast that shares the story of the Superdome during Hurricane Katrina.

Disney Cruise Line:

The Disney Fantasy won the sixth annual Gingerbread House competition.

Star Wars:

A Jedi Challenge game show was announced for Disney+.

Disney+:

Kristin Chenowith is announced as starring in an upcoming Disney+ series called “The Biggest Star in Appleton.”

ABC:

Schooled has been picked up for a complete second season.

Walt Disney Studios:

12 Disney-tied films were named as contenders for the Oscar for Visual Effects.

20th Century Fox:

A new Planet of the Apes film was announced as being in development

Walt Disney World:

In addition to hosting a live stream of the Candlelight Processional, Walt Disney World announced several new details regarding upcoming experiences such as an opening date for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and a new DuckTales interactive experience coming to Epcot.
