As the Walt Disney World Resort closed down in March 2020, many longtime performers at EPCOT’s World Showcase bid farewell. Slowly but surely, entertainment offerings are returning. The latest to return is Sergio the Italian Mime.
What’s Happening:
- Sergio the Italian Mime has been absent from the Italy pavilion in World Showcase since EPCOT reopened in July 2020. However, as of October 1, he is back to delight guests with his silly antics.
- Jeremiah was there and he captured a video of Sergio’s performance, as well as some pictures.
- If Sergio looks a little different than you remember, that may be because of an unfortunate accident that occured on February 16, 2020. He shared his story in an Instagram post.
- However, he does hope to return soon as his condition improves.
