WDW 50: BB-8 Added To Fab 50 Character Collection For World's Most Magical Celebration

As we inch closer to the World’s Most Magical Celebration celebrating 50 years of the Walt Disney World Resort, we get to learn more characters we’ll discover around the four theme parks as part of the Fab 50 Character Collection.

What’s Happening:

The newest Walt Disney World Ambassadors (who arrived just in time to be part of the milestone year at Walt Disney World), Raevon Redding and Ali Manion have taken to the WDW Ambassador Instagram account to reveal that everyone’s favorite Astromech Droid (from the sequel trilogy), BB-8 will be among the characters featured as part of the Fab 50 Character Collection that will be a part of the World’s Most Magical Celebration kicking off on October 1st to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort.
It should come as no surprise that this loveable Star Wars character’s statue will appear at Disney’s Hollywood Studios when the celebration begins.
The Disney Fab 50 Character Collection will be located at all four Walt Disney World theme parks, showcasing various characters as golden sculptures to celebrate the resort’s 50th anniversary.
More character sculptures will be revealed in the remaining weeks before the celebration, announced by Disney friends including Walt Disney World, Disney+, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, D23, Disney Channel, NatGeoTV, Disney Vacation Club, and more.
